Fars Consortium to participate in third nationwide mobile operator

Currently Mobile Company of Iran and Irancell are nationwide first and second mobile operators and Taliya is prepaid mobile service contractor for Telecommunication Company of Iran.   
“These telecommunication factories will attend through Iran telecommunication Consortiums and Fars Consortium,” The head of Irans telecom factories Mohammad Ebrahim Motale told mobna news agency.
“This telecom company would not attend in tender indepently,” he added.
Sanatgaran Fars Consortium consists of Iran telecommunication factories, Shiraz electronic industries and Iran Electronic Components Industries.
He added Iran Telecom Consortium has agreed with some foreign operators to cooperate in the third nationwide mobile phone operator. 
Previously it has said that so far 15 international operators have announced their willingness to obtain third nationwide mobile phone operator license.
According to the latest report, the third nationwide operators tender announcement will be made by 21 July 2008 and the final winner will be chosen by 21 September 2008.
