He anticipated that by the end of 4th Development Plan the number of landline phone subscribers will rise to 36.3m and its penetration rate to over 50%.
He added that landline phone delivery throughout the country is carried out in little or no time.
He indicated that the expansion of country’s mobile phone network has now reached the stage where there are now roaming links with 100 countries via 220 operators and it is still expanding.
He said there are now 15,310 BTS antennas and 220 stations in the country when less than 3 years ago there were 5,398 antennas.
