Media reports wrong; public welcome 0910 – says MTC director

Rial SIM card getting low public receptions in its first days on sale, MTC’s PR deputy believes otherwise.
Abbas-Ali Abolfazli, in conversation with MOBNA, while denying any disturbance in Hamraah-e Avval portal, suggested that factors such as rush for application registration in the opening days, low internet speed and users unfamiliarity with the network could have prompted the chaotic state.
He stressed that figures quoted by the press suggesting there were fewer than 3,000 applications on the opening day was incorrect and MTC will issue the true figure in the next few days.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Information & Communication Technology has announced that in-person application registration for 0910 SIM cards will begin on July 12.
