Abbas Lotfalian, in conversation with MOBNA, suggested that domestic operators do not normally establish roaming links among them since that would jeopardize their competitive stances.
Ruling out any roaming links with Taliya and IranCell for joint use of 1st Operator network resources, he said 1st Operator as a state-owned operator currently covers all of country’s cities and villages, and so it is not economic for them to enter into roaming link with those operators.
Earlier, Iran Telecom chief had announced that 1st Operator roaming link with Taliya and IranCell was legally impossible as long as Telecom remained state-owned.
