Mobile phone expert Majid Sehhat, in conversation with MOBNA, said more than half of mobile handset users exploit only 10% of its capabilities and are, on the whole, unaware of 3G phones capabilities.
He suggested that one reason was their non-interest in the full capabilities of existing handsets, and added that camera, memory and sound system are among capabilities that users exploit most.
He added that features such as access to internet, call-time measurement and making video clips are rarely employed.
He warned that if authorized distributors of such products do not make effort to familiarize their customers with the full potential of these devices they will remain ignorant.
He added that when a new brand of mobile handset is presented on the market it is the duty of the distributor to publicize its potentials.
He indicated that users in the18-30 age group usually show more interest to explore the potentials of new handsets.
