Mobile phone 3rd Operator license issued next October

deputy announced that the 3rd Operator license will be finalized next October.
Kamaal Mohaamed-Pour, in a press meeting, referred to International Telecommunication Union (ITU) experts in Iran since the start of 3rd Operator tender documents revision saying they are to report their final assessments in due course, which they have assessed as acceptable on the whole.
He indicated there are minor problems with the documents as a result of which the documents have been referred back to Radio Communication & Regulations Organization for revision and after which a general invitation to tender will be issued.
He said the project’s foreign consultant will be selected once the ITU report has been issued.
He also announced trial launch of 3G technology mobile service in Tehran shortly and said the design and construction of satellite station, draft form preparation of IP national network, draft form preparation for the National Data Center and launch of Telecom Research Center’s data center were among the tasks that were performed last year.
