Hamraah-e Avval network’s 2,000 new BTS additions

Abbas Lotfalian, in conversation with MOBNA indicated that the research phase regarding establishment of roaming link between Hamraah-e Avval and the rural WLL network started in the second half of last year, and rated it as a new venture unprecedented even in regional countries.
He said that only MTC subscribers will now be able to use rural networks which were hitherto unavailable.
On the financial side, he said a billing system will be operational in two months time when MTC subscribers may have roaming link with the entire WLL network.
He said the plan is being launched in Sistaan & Baluchestan, Geelan, West Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Ardebil, Central, Ghazvin, Kerman, Yazd, Lorestan, Fars, Kordestan, Semnan, Kermanshah, Hamedan, Isfahan and Ilaam provinces, and preparation for WLL network in South Khorasan, Boushehr, East Azerbaijan and Charmahal-o-Bakhtiari provinces is under way.
Rural WLL system is employed in villages where landline communication is not possible, and its tariff is the same as that of a landline phone.
