Mobile phone service tariff reduction – further details

Ahmad Farhaadi, in conversation with MOBNA, while complaining about some sections of the media, said the extent of country’s ICT’ development in the past 30 years has been unprecedented although the media have failed to report it.
He went on to say there has been substantial reduction on many tariffs, some as much as 100%, such as SMS installation charge.
He indicated the tariff on prepaid SIM card change of name (ownership) has been reduced from 100,000 Rial to 5,000 Rial, and for postpaid SIM cards it stands at 50,000 Rial.
He pointed out that telecom service bureaus will also benefit, to some extent, from the new tariffs.
