Hamraah-e Avval GPRS launch time unknown

On why SaIran, the contractor, failed to fulfill its obligation in launching GPRS in three months, he said the company is not to blame which has been caused by the delay in shipment of some of its equipments from abroad.
The service had been initially planned for 2m subscribers.
GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) makes possible permanent link between mobile phone and the internet, whereby any service on the internet can be used by the mobile phone equipped with GPRS.
The service is part of the technologies designed to bring closer mobile phone 2G technology with the efficiency of 3G for faster data transmission.
