National IP network due May 2010

“The Infrastructure Core and Super-core project’s tender winner has been selected and the national IP network (national internet) has entered its implementation phase. The project equipments will be imported from China and the project will start soon,” he said.
“Some 80% of the project will be finalized by the end of this Iranian year (March 2019) and the rest will be carried out by May 2010,” he added.
China’s Huawei and its domestic partner are project winner with 680 billion rials capital.
The network development project in Core and Edge access levels was put on ICT Ministry agenda aiming to fulfill the Fourth Economic Development Plan goals and upgrading the national IP network.
