MCI to hold LBS tender: MCI deputy

“A pilot test on LBS has been carried out and after its tender has been held the service will be transferred to a domestic company and will be launched by the end of this Iranian year (March 2010),” Hasan Razavi told Mobna news agency.
“The service’s error margin is below 50-centimeter radius and would be installed on the mobile set on the owner’s request,” he added.
“LBS is different with GPS and has many business usages,” he said. 
“For the service to be operational, extra equipments have to be installed in MCI network,” Razavi said.
