Iranian backed Iraqi telecommunication network shelved

“The negotiation between the two countries is now on the monetary aspect of the project,” Behrooz Asrari Ershad told Mobna news agency.
“Iran is to help Iraq in establishing telecommunication network in some Iraqi cities including Karbala,” he added.
“The project has not been finalized and talks are going on between Iranian and Iraqi banks,” he added.
Iraqi authorities recently urged Iran to assist them in launching a landline phone network in Karbala and Jajaf cities.
