Mobile phone network disturbances never cease – ICT Minister

Speaking on a TV program, Reza Taghipour said the Tehran mobile network design lacked uniformity but they were working to improve it.
“We hope to improve the network by incorporating some of new satellite techniques,” he added.
“We have no limitation in offering broadband internet to universities and higher education institutions but individual citizens or organizations may receive different internet bandwidths,” he said.
He said, however, that 128kb bandwidth was sufficient for households in downloading articles but to ask for higher internet speed, factors such as higher expense should be taken into account.
