High import tariff leaves Iranian mobile market disorganized

 “The company will not continue its activity as before because of high import tariff on mobiles and the authorities’ inaction against smuggling,” Eiman Soltani told Mobna news agency.
“With the present market situation, authorized companies only import low-price mobile sets,” he said.
High import tariff on mobile set has resulted in smugglers’ obtaining 95% of the market with little room for legal activists.
Also, most authorized companies are now faced with huge losses and are on the verge of  bankruptcy.
