MCI catchy mobile number auction due Jan 17

“۲,۰۰۰ MCI catchy numbers of various codes will be auctioned,” Abolfazl Alishahi told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
MCI has around 400,000 catchy numbers which were to be auctioned in a two-year period in batches of 2,000 numbers.
At each auction, normally, only 30 per cent of numbers have bidders and the rest have either no bidder or the bid is bellow the base price.
On the last 11 occasions, the number 09127777777 fetched nearly 580 billion rials, becoming the most valuable catchy number ever sold at an auction.
The number 09123456789, which was due to be auctioned off, was later donated to the Telecom Museum, and was expected to fetch 700 million rials.
