Pilot 3G network project has been launched in telecommunication research center

Iran telecommunication research center announced that the project launched focusing on three points, and they are “offering consultancy and engineering services”, “recognizing quality and quantity evaluating indicators related to 3G technology”, “and evaluating foreign and domestic made productions.
Pilot carried out has a crucial role for recognizing 3G technologys abilities and features.
It should be reminded that telecommunication research center is preparing third operator tender documents, thus this pilot project is crucial in order to gain technical knowledge and create proper atmosphere for training expert human sources.
In this pilot project some services such as video-fax, voice, email, internet and multimedia will be offered.
In first phase these services will be available for volunteers such as ICT students, university professors, researchers and so.
Second phase will be carried out aiming at practical research for approving 3G equipments models.
Moreover in this project the availability and need for how to link pilot project to the current landline and GSM networks will be tried.
