Domestic mobile phone production remains a dream

However just 2,000 mobile sets have been produced so far, none of them has hit the market.
Since mobile phone vendors and market insiders believe that domestic made mobile sets could not be rivals of foreign made mobile sets. Customers prefer to buy well known brands.
However domestic made mobile sets are more expensive than mobile phones with well known brands, since these brands have studied and recognized target market.
“Some wrong and illogical policies regarding mobile sets production and import tariff have made problems for domestic mobile sets production,” Telecommunication expert Ehsan Kiyayi Manesh told Mobna news agency.
“If mobile sets import tariff decreases to 10 percent (from the current 25 percent) then domestic mobile sets production will prosper,” he said.
