Privatization of Telecommunication Company of Iran in line with privatization law: deputy

“Experience shows that many countries, like India, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates, who have privatized their telecommunication successfully, have done so without any help from their governments,” Head of Parliament Telecom Committee Ali Motahhari a deputy from the city of Shabestar said.
“Telecom privatization should follow public awareness that the private sector is not against public sector but its ally, and in this case the government should act as a facilitator to public companies,” he added.
He said privatization requires that a change in the governments mentality, a government which supports free economy and this has been attained by the government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
