۱۰۰ domestic-made BTS antennas to replace foreign-made BTS antennas: official

“The technical know-how required to manufacture parts for the mobile phone network has already been achieved in the country and domestic-made items could easily replace foreign-made ones,” Mansour Kabiri Rahni told Mobna news agency, referring to how the project which is to produce six million mobile phone capacities was progressing.
He said that the mass-production of parts needed for the mobile phone network, as part of the project’s fourth phase, is being successfully carried out and the consortium is ready to replace 1000 existing BTS sites with antennas manufactured by the consortium.
Base Transceiver Station (BTS) is the equipment which facilitates the wireless communication between user equipments (UE) and the network. UEs are devices like mobile phones (handsets), WLL phones, computers with wireless internet connectivity, WiFi and WiMAX gadgets etc.
