Logical tariff, the best way to fight mobile set smuggling: economist

“Mobile set smuggling is a phenomenon that has caused problem for the Iranian society, since the manufacturer, the consumer and the importer all condemn the action,” Mohammad-Ali Abdollahi told Mobna news agency
“To fight mobile set smuggling is not to gain greater income for the Iranian Customs department, but to establish legal and formal trade procedures.” he added.
He stressed that the country should learn from it past experience in fighting smuggling by revising its economic policies.
“For the fight against mobile set smuggling to succeed, we should first improve our tariff system and the commerce ministry should review more thoroughly its policies on tariffs,” he concluded.
