Mobile phone crimes to be dealt with by internet crime mediation council: judiciary

“Internet crime courts will deal with the crimes that has been committed in cyber space,” an internet crime mediation council member Bagher Afkhami told Mobna news agency.
“If the mobile phone crimes take place in cyber space and the judge can not issue a ruling on the case then, the crime will be dealt with by the internet crime mediation council,” he said.
“Sms and mms contents and unsolicited messages are among the items which could be studied in this court,” he added.
“So far crimes like mobile hacking, sending images via mobile phone and information theft are to be dealt with by this council,” Afkhami said.
“This court will sentence the culprit to a fine or jail from one to 91 days for offenders,” Afkhami added.
