TurkCell snubs third nation wide mobile operator tender: former company official

“The Iranian authorities have informally invited TurkCell to participate in the mobile phone’s third nation wide mobile phone operator tender but the company has refused the invitation and intends instead to pursue its complaint against the Iranian government,” Bahram Hassan-Zadeh, TurkCell’s former press officer told Ilna news agency.
 He revealed that TurkCell has lodged a complaint against the Iranian government with a Paris court for 9.8 billion US dollars damages.
He added that the court has set a three-month period to review the case before ruling on the case but the period has ended on May 20, 2008 and no ruling has yet been announced.
