Prepaid SIM card tariff reduction not yet conveyed

Ali Hamidi, in conversation with MOBNA, said until the new tariffs are announced, prepaid SIM card tariff continue being calculated at telecom service bureaus as before.
He referred to the new tariff, authorized by Radio Communication & Regulations Organization (RCRO), and indicated it has not been passed on to MTC.
RCRO, in their 39th session on April 13, authorized tariff reduction of some of 1st Operator services which has been binding ever since.
The reductions range from 30% to 50% for services such as change of name, address, SIM card and reactivation of Voice Mail System.
Reactivation of Caller ID and SMS, which were previously charged 20,000 Rial is now free.
Changes of name, address and SIM card are lowered from 100,000, 50,000 and 70,000 Rial to 50,000, 30,000 and 50,000 Rial respectively.
