Mobile set import by ITMC not true: ITMC managing director

“Iran Telecommunication Manufacturing Companies only produces mobile sets and does not intend to import the commodity. We had negotiations with well-known world brands in order to produce mobile sets but with no result,” Mohammad-Ebrahim Mottale’ told Mobna news agency.
ITMC managing director had earlier announced that their mobile sets production had been ceased as a result of unfavorable conditions.
“We believe mobile set smuggling is one of the elements that hinder mobile set production,” he said.  
The Industries and Mines Ministry has signed a contract with ITMC and Emad Semiconductors for mobile set production.
