Sim card prices on Iranian market

New Mobile Company of Iran sim cards with codes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are sold at 6.50, 5.58, 4.10, 3.90, 3.70, 3.50 and 3.10 million rials respectively, while second-hand MCI sim cards with codes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are sold at 6.00, 3.90, 3.30, 2.70, 2.50, 2.40, 2.30 and 2.20 million rials respectively.
MCI’s 0910 sim card is sold at the official price of 1,230,600 rials.
The official price of MCI’s 0919 sim card is 226,000 rials, although it is sold at 300,000 rials on the black market.
Taliya and IranCell-MTN sim cards are on offer at 90,000 and 50,000 rials respectively.
In all, the country’s five mobile operators have so far sold nearly 50 million pre- and postpaid sim cards.
