Iranians talked to their hajjis for 3 million minutes: MCI official

“They also send 444,960 sms from Saudi Arabia to Iran and received 1,006,000 sms from Iran,” MCI intra operators relation chief head Abbas Lotfalian said.
“During Hajj period these MCI subscribers who used international roaming service made 816,200 minutes calls from Saudi Arabia to Iran and received 3,600,000 minutes calls from Iran,” he added.
“The sharp contrast in call reception compared to calls made from Saudi is due to the first costing less,” he added.
“Call fee from Saudi Arabia to Iran via Etihad and Aljavad operators network was 25,000 rials and via Zain network was 19,000 rials. Received calls for all three operators decreased to 1,670 rials because of negotiations to decrease fee in the Hajj period,” he said.
