Payam-Resan sms software is able to pack 200 Persian characters into one sms, whereas without it only 70 Persian characters could be lodged into one sms.
“A protocol between this company and Sharif University IT center (the software’s proprietor) has been signed so that the software may be installed on all mobile sets under Pars ComTel warranty,” Pars ComTel president Hossein Payandeh told Mobna news agency.
He hailed the move as very significant as most Sony-Ericsson and Motorola set prospective buyers prefer mobile sets that support Persian language.
