Landline phone SMS launched next October

Mohammad Rouhollahi told MOBNA that preliminary work has begun and the tariff has been determined by the authorities concerned.
He indicated that the private sector and Tehran Province Telecom have provided the fund.
He said a successful trial test was carried out last year by the company, and SMS transmission from landline to landline, landline to mobile and mobile to landline is now possible.
He said the service has all the characteristics of a mobile phone SMS and the user receives assistance all along by appropriate messages.
He added that Radio Communication & Regulations Organization has set the tariff as one city phone pulse, which is 44.7 Rial.
Inter-city landline to landline or landline to mobile phone tariff has been set as equivalent of 2 pulses while for abroad it is 5 pulses.
He said the draft form of the contract between private sector and Tehran Province Telecom is nearing completion and hoped it would be completed in two months time.
