No decrease in mobile set import tariff by Article One commission members: a TPO official

“Since final changes of import tariff have been done in December 2008 – January 2009 period, the tariff wont likely change,” TPO chief manager Hamid Safdel told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
Commerce ministrys Article One commission duty is to set commodities import tariff.
“Article One commission bureau in TPO supports mobile set domestic production and setting import tariff is based on this fact,” Safdel said. 
“۲۵ percent import tariff of mobile set increases competition between domestic operators and other world brands therefore will enable the new born mobile set domestic production not to lose in this competition,” he added.
“All commodities tariffs are set carefully with experts opinion, so that manufacturer and users right are respected,” he said. 
“Commerce ministry like mines and industries ministry support domestic production, since both ministries are government,” Safdel elaborated.
