Unwanted promotional sms messages blocked through 09990

In the case of such messages coming from foreign sources, MCI said it is only able to block the country or the foreign mobile phone operator from which such messages are transmitted.
MCIs announcement which came in the ninth TeleCom Exhibition, added that on average some 60 to 65 million sms messages are transmitted every day.
He said the fee on MCI’s prepaid sim card sms has been determined and is now in force.
He said contrary to common belief, misdirected sms messages to one particular destination are in fact charged once.
