Tehran, Nov 17, MOBNA – Mobile phone mms regulation is currently under review by Parliament telecomm committee, a member of its industries and mines committee said.
“The telecom committee is reviewing the section of the mms regulation which deals with prepaid sim card subscribers who have not formal ownership,” Hamid-Reza Fouladgar told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
He stressed that the authorities at the telecommunication ministry should address the issue.
He said parliament will make its final decision after hearing telecommunication ministry’s arguments and public’s feedbacks.
Experts believe that offering mms to prepaid sim card subscribers who are not formal owners of the device could lead to improper conducts in society, and it is, therefore, important that the service is studied from all angles before being offered to the public.
