Operators will cooperate to detect prank calls: MCI deputy

“With cooperation between operators, if a subscriber has gotten a prank call from another network subscriber, then the trouble can be resolved,” MCI deputy Mohammd-mahdi Otoufi told Irans mobile news agency (Mobna).
“Currently prank calls can be sued through its own operators customer service. Now with cooperation between different operators prank calls can be sued in all telecommunication service bureaus,” he added.
“This plan is in initial step and its procedure has not been determined yet,” he said.
Currently about 40 million subscribers receive services from three operators MCI, Irancell and Taliya, but prank calls from prepaid sim cards which the owners are unknown is a challenge.
