Sim card market recession continues

The fall in sale has affected mainly the Mobile Company of Iran postpaid sim cards.
However, the prepaid sim card market is still thriving.
Currently, new MCI postpaid sim cards for codes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are purchased at 5.4, 4.4, 3.4, 3.45, 3.15, 3.05 and 2.7 million rials respectively and sold 100,000-150,000 rials higher.
However, used postpaid sim cards for codes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are sold at 5.75, 4, 3.3, 2.5, 2.35, 2.35 and 2.2 million rials respectively.
MCI’s 0919 prepaid sim cards are sold at 400,000 rials in most areas in Tehran.
IranCell’s post- and prepaid sim cards are sold at 1,500,000 and 100,000 rials respectively.
New Taliya sim cards are sold at 200,000 and 500,000 rials, depending on the initial charge.
