Telecom service bureaus not settled telecommunication ministry debts: deputy minister

“Of 1.3 trillion rials telecommunication grants to telecom companies, 1.12 trillion rials have been paid back,” deputy telecommunication minister in charge of education, research and international affairs Kamal Mohamed-Pour said in a ministry forum.
“This year, however, 3,000 such companies have applied for the grant, of whom 2,300 have received them but only 12 per cent of installments have been paid back within the deadline, which is not good and will only affect future grants to such companies,” he added.
He said the ministry, in line with its policy of supporting the private sector, has increased its grant fund to 570 billion rials.
