Mobile phone penetration rate to pass 75 percent: telecommunication minister

“Mobile phone penetration rate at beginning of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (2005) was 10 percent which now is 56 percent,” Mohammad Soleimani said.
“According to fourth development plan (2005-2010) mobile phone penetration rate should have reached to 35 percent, but it will be above 75 percent if there are customers,” he added.
“Currently landline in country has saturated, so that telecommunication agents looking for customers,” Soleimani added.
