Sony Ericsson brand has 31 percent shares of Iran mobile phone market: legal distributor

“So far Sony Ericsson mobile set shares in market was below 40 percent, and according to the current market situation it is expected to remain so,” Hosein Payande Pars Comtel managing director told Mobna news agency. 
“Although mobile set import tariff has decreased to 25 percent but smuggling rate did not decrease and now 80 percent of mobile sets in market are smuggled ones,” he added.
“In this situation most authorized companies continue their activities unnoticeable,” he said.
“Those Sony Ericsson mobile sets which priced between 1,500,000 rials (150 dollars) to 2,500,000 rials (250 rials) are seeking more. In the next days Sony Ericsson latest models will be released in market,” he added.
