MMS regulations have not yet been submitted to the Radio Communication & Regulations Organization.
An informed source at RCRO, in conversation with MOBNA, said although the regulations were ratified by the Council more that 3 weeks ago, they have not yet been put on RCRO’s agenda.
This is contrary to the Council’s notification that the MMS service (audio-visual transmission through mobile phone) would be available from late March.
These regulations are to be incorporated in the future 3rd Operator license.
Some analyst believe the reason behind Ministry of Information & Communication Technology’s offer of MMS regulations preparation to the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council has been to allow 1st Operator ample time to prepare grounds for its GPRS and MMS services.
