Tehran, Mar 5. MOBNA – Ministry of Information & Communication Technology International Affairs director
announced economic embargo against Iran could not adversely affect country’s telecom advancement.
Ahmad Pouranghnia, in conversation with MOBNA, said all companies seeking participation in the mobile phone 3rd Operator project are world-famous telecom companies.
He said there is, alas, belief that only British and US companies are successful in such projects, although some of the companies that have come forward have subscribers in excess of 1 million.
He stressed that the company’s capital is not the only criterion, but experience and high technical know-how count as very important factors.
He said no company would enter Iran’s telecom sector on the strength of its capital alone.
