“Despite current stagnation in the mobile market our company will continue assembly of Hyundai mobiles,” Hamid-Reza Monji told Mobna news agency.
He said his company was under contract to annually produce 150,000 Hyundai sets which were up to the standards of sets available on the market.
“The current widespread mobile smuggling has left little room for domestic-manufactured mobiles and most prospective buyers now opted for foreign brands,” he added.
Emad Semiconductors is one of mobile phone manufacturers which have signed contract with the Ministry of Industries and Mines to manufacture 1m sets annually.
